If you can connect it to a tangible result, it might be easier (e.g. "masturbating less will result in me having more energy and a better mood in work, so I can perform better" or whatever is relevant to your situation) this will greatly improve your chances of reducing the frequency of masturbation

It can also be useful to keep a diary, it doesn't have to be extremely detailed but just write something like "this week I masturbated once every day and looked at porn for most of them", that will help you to keep track of gradual improvements over time. Remember, simply reducing the frequency from 10x per week down to 5x per week is really good, and for many people this is the best way to quit something or get it down to a level where it doesn't bother them.

Masturbation is not heroin, it is absolutely within your capability to stop or reduce the frequency of your masturbation. It is also not harmful in moderation however if you find that doing it once tends to result in you doing more in the hours/days that follow, it may be best to aim for completely stopping at least for a few months until you get it out of your head to some extent. Again, this doesn't need to happen overnight, gradual reduction over time will get you to where you want to be.

Naturally all the usual advice applies; try to break your usual (masturbation-related) routine as much as you can, try to get exercise and eat well, sleep well... None of this is strictly necessary but it's likely to help
