Feel like i'm at a crossroad. I'm 18 years old, about to move across the state to start school. I have a few scholarships and a general idea of what i want to do if it comes down to it, but I don't want it. I don't want frats or parties or embroidered sweatpants. My one big hope is that I can find some people to play music with, that hopefully grows into something. I write poetry and songs and play guitar hours a day. I have a job (25 hours a week). I'm a pretentious fuck. I don't know what to do. I don't want a fence and I can't wake up at 6 AM anymore. Just don't know to do. I'm willing to work for what I want, I'm willing to move and give up shit. It's just that I don't know what to do.

If you don't know what to go to college for, you shouldn't go to college. If you can't wake up at 6AM, you're going to have problems upon graduating or dropping out. If you're looking to play music, look for clubs if you decide to go to college.
But the most important thing I can stress is this: College isn't high school. You aren't obligated to go, and even if you aren't paying a cent, you are sacrificing years of your youth to go. You owe it to yourself not to waste those years. College is a means to an end: get qualified to get a job you want, and to network. If you aren't treating it like a 24/7 job, you're making a mistake.
