I constantly get angry at everybody and everything. I feel completely powerless to this and would like to know how to get rid of it. Or at the very least learn how to control it.

Anger is sadness inside out.

Well I always feel sad right after feeling angry so maybe. but I don't got shit to be sad about, so I get mad that im sad. It's like a pointless cycle

I used to be this way.

I'd see someone do something stupid in traffic, and even if it didn't even slightly inconvenience me, I would get irrationally angry at it. Dumb shit happening used to make me so mad because it just didn't have to be that way. Why can't everything just work the way it's supposed to?

Once, I realized that there is a spectrum of world view betweenL
>thinking about how things should be and devoting your energy towards changing the entire world to fit your vision
>thinking about how things are and devoting your energy towards understanding it and working with or around it

One of these is realistic. One of them is romantic and idealistic.

Getting mad at shit changes absolutely nothing. Nobody gives a shit about your feelings. They're still going to pull out in front of you in traffic without signaling, because who cares, you're just a random dude. It's shitty but it's true.

If you do care about something enough to want to change it, you still have to understand it first.

Most people with anger issues get angry in a particular process or string of heating-up steps. Anger Management counseling teaches you to figure out what your string of steps is and to recognize the first steps, so you can abort the process before it reaches full anger.

To take a silly example, suppose you discovered that before every time you got angry your left leg twitched. AM would teach you to spot the twitch and what to do to keep it from escalating.

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
