I ordered mouse traps on Amazon after realizing there's one living in my kitchen. The traps won't show up for a few days, but last night I saw a mouse trying to escape from under my sink so I put a houseplant against the doors to keep them pressed tightly inward. My plan is to crack open one of the doors and slam a shoebox down on the mouse when it comes out. Or, I was thinking of rigging the shoebox up as a crude trap to fall on the mouse if it bumps into it. That's assuming it gets away from me at first. Is there any easier way to catch this mouse when it comes darting out of the cabinet?

Oh yeah, I was thinking about somehow building an impenetrable wall around the area of the cabinet but not sure how good these things are at climbing.

why the heck did you order them on amazon? do you not have a walmart nearby? shits like 4 bucks for a trap and also grab some tootsie rolls while you're there, chew one up, and spit it out to use as bait instead of peanut butter.

they can jump like 4 feet and can climb walls like spiderman.
