I recently moved away from my hometown and will probably never go back. The past few days I've been afflicted with a crushing loneliness. I miss my old friends and the woods I grew up in. Now I live in a condo on the side of a highway. Nothing is familiar to me and life feels unnatural and alien. I don't really know where I'm going with this or what specifically to ask, but I needed to get this out somewhere. Advice?

If I were you, I'd just go out there and explore the place. Maybe try and socialize with the neighbors, or go to a local pub and try to socialize there too.
