I'm a short dude (5'7") with monster calves for some reason, even though I don't do leg day. What martial arts would be best suited to someone like me? My main disadvantage is reach because I'm wee.

Go MMA and get some focus on footwork and punches along with grappling techniques. Only train kicks for feints

with that built any kind of ground oriented stuff will work, also grappling will do. you should still learn at least the basics of striking

Thanks for the feedback, I'll go the MMA route. Seems that any body type can work in MMA as long it's plays to it's advantages. I'll be focusing on ground and pound then.

yeah go for that. short guys (unless you skelly short) are a lot tougher to deal with than you might think
