It's between CO+IL for college + some other personal shit.
I have extended family (who some wouldn't want to see me probably, but some would) in IL but its more pricey to live there and being a college student I'd rather not have to worry about it.
ANYWAYS, /adv/ which would you recommend and why?
IL has decent schools but moving here permanently is a very, VERY bad idea.
t. lived in il my whole life
IL. We're full here in CO and unless you like the smell of cow shit (UNC), dirty hippies (CU boulder ), sjws and assholes (CSU), or a nice campus with a brutally hard engineering program (school of mines) you're going to hate it.

It depends a lot on your school. If you're going to be in Chicago then it's a nice place to live as a college student for the experience alone.

I'd likely be moving near south suburbs, as I lived there pretty much my entire life, until about 2 years ago.

Not like how everyone thinks. It's gang on gang violence, and it's mostly in the poorest neighborhoods of the city. If you live on the north side you don't even know about it. If you avoid the hot spots you'll be fine anywhere.
