Lies

What should you do when you know that someone is lying to you?
I've never had this feeling before, I have my entire trust in this person but I discovered some lies about him, I faced him discreetly asking literally if he had done the thing I found out, but he answer was: No.
And so I was there, just listening how he lied and lied, pretending I dont know a thing.
I shouldn't have found those lies so I cannot Admit I know he lies
He hadn't done anything yet but now I knowt there is a probability that he could, maybe he will, maybe he wont. Who knows.
He is not a bad guy, he's been one of the best persons I've ever know, but that made me kind of think that there is absolute no person that you can entirely trust in.
How do I overcome this? I could just keep on with him pretending I dont know a thing, we would still laugh, going out, have fun etc. But all this knowing that he had lied me in a way that I thought would never happen again...
Maybe he is the best person I will ever know and that one detail will be the only one, I don't know.
I'm confused.
