I regularly get bans for things I never did and the next day there gone, simply because I got the IP ban that was intended for someone else

Op here. I don't browse 4chan on my computer. Only my phone. How can I tell if my ip is static or not?

Same thing happens to me all the time. Doesn't make much sense and I'd also appreciate any insight people have to say.

The device doesn't matter, it depends on the router or modem you use.
Unfortunately, I am not quite certain how you find out whether or not it's static, but I think you need to access your modem, you should be able to find it somewhere there.

When I turn the wifi off on my phone it connects to at&t which means I have internet wherever I go unless I'm in Alaska or some shit. Also the ban thing only shows up when My wifi is off Also I looked the ip adress isn't mine. Am I a special kind of retarded or somthing?

acording to Google though, restarting your router may assign you a new ip, if it does, you have your answer, but if it doesn't, that doesn't mean you have a static IP, sometimes they only switch on a set schedule

So, your IP is not tied to your phone alone, but also to the connection you're using
so if you use your phone's internet, you have IP x, when you're using WiFi on your phone, you have IP y and when you're using WiFi on your PC you have IP z
I am fairly certain that you're using a dynamic IP, because the ban was filed on 11th May and you only noticed it now.
It will probably be gone by tomorrow, if not, wrote them a complain in the designated field and they will lift "your" ban

Yeah my router's ip is different from the one posted on the ban. But when I turn off my wifi and search what my ip is, its the same as the one on the ban.

Because that's the IP you've been assigned today, of course it's the same.
You are currently using an IP that has been banned in the past. You didn't use it when the ban was issued, but now you do.
Tomorrow you will have a new one, so don't sweat it
