I can't really do fertility awareness because I'm very irregular. I have pcos. I was thinking about doing the copper IUD which I know has side effects but no hormones. But at this point, I just need something temporary.

This. To be more precicely it can even cause real pain like with my husband. Pain which will only go away if you get your vasectomy reversed.
