I have a date with a girl next week, and she seems very sweet. She said she gets nervous around me though, which is flattering but makes me feel kind of bad. Her hands were shakey when we had lunch on our first date this week, it was so cute. She's only had 1 boyfriend before. I want to make her comfy and happy, but i don't want to overstep her boundaries and make her more nervous. The last girl i dated was cold and bitchy, and didn't seem to care for any physical affection, but this one is clearly into me, and we kissed several times the other day.
Women, if you get nervous around a guy, does it relax you if he does things like put his arm around you and gently massage your shoulders/back, or does that make it worse?

For me, if I was nervous, and a guy started rubbing my arm or putting his arm around me, it would make things worse.
I feel comfort in having my boundaries/bubble respected. The more its respected, the more I feel comfortable and the closer I get.
Every girl is different though. I find touch adversive generally unless its with guy who I trust.
Its normal to be nervous on a first date. Even with obviously good guys on a first date, id still get nervous. :)

I agree with this. It takes me a while to warm up to guys, even if I know I like them and find them attractive right off the bat. It's scary letting people get close to me, so when they do it when I'm not ready, I can get a little freaked out and withdraw.
Then again, I have no clue how long it would've been when my boyfriend and I had our first kiss if he hadn't done it. I was paralyzed with fear and scared it was gonna scar me like my first kiss ever did

After the first date ended though, she hugged me and i kissed her, which she was really happy about since she gave me a bunch back.
She also drops hints that she wants to fugg me at least twice a day. She doesn't seem afraid to get physical at all, but for some reason she said she 'gets nerves' when she's around me.
Also, she rested her head on my shoulder at one point during our date.

Hold her hands next time you notice this and smile at her.

That seems like a good idea. She was trying to eat tacos though.

Unfortunately i didn't get to enough. I panicked about kissing her then because i had cottonmouth, so i went and got some water. But i kissed her after that and she was ecstatic.
Okay nevermind folks, we were texting and she said it's a good nervous because she's excited.
I'm free to put my hands all over her.
