I have no idea what to major in.
I'm going in for my first year of college soon. I love learning and I'm really excited for it, but I have no fucking idea what I should major in.
Every job prospect for the future looks terrifying. For any choice there are a million articles online telling me why it's a very bad idea. On top of that, I still haven't felt inspired by anything I do.
Should I just declare a meme major like Communications or Business? Did anyone else go through this in college?
I was also undecided during my Freshman year. Lots of students are. If I could go to college again I'd major in computer programming. I was always good at it but chose to instead "follow my dreams" and major in videography instead. I graduated two months ago and haven't found a job yet.
Do whatever you're good at, but always consider if it's going to make enough money for your desired lifestyle.
One warning I have to give is that some majors you have to start early or else you're behind. If you are interested in engineering but don't know what kind literally pick any engineering major, take into to see what floats your boat then switch before sophomore year.
