It's not so bad. The figure its kind of cute.

Figure is very nice, but face is.. weird at best. Background is astonishing though, very detailed, you must have spent lots of time on it.

Hi, /ic/ fag here so prepare for some critique. I can see you spent a lot of time on it, with the details in the background and whatnot, so good job on that. You have lots of room for improvement though, it's evident you dont know much about anatomy, light and shadow, etc. The head is too big, arms are too short, and the facial features are also off. I realize you weren't trying for a realistic piece here, but even so lots of things still need to be fixed.

If you're reading this, please don't kill yourself or get depressed over it. If you show this to a non-artist, they will almost definitely be impressed by the intricate details. There's no reason to feel bad because of a critique, everyone has things they need to improve on. If you just draw for fun then there's no need to even listen to me, but if you are really serious about art and you really want to improve, I would advise going to /ic/ and reading the sticky. Don't make your own thread for your art though, post in one of the generals.

You're young, you still have so much time ahead of you. Why are you suicidal? Do you have a reason? If it's not art-related maybe we can help you.

Its about 433% better than anything I could ever draw. I know its not high art but I still get jealous of people who can do this.

There are tons of hobbyists on /ic/ with a day job who pratice about 1-2 hours a day. Someone even conducted a poll a few months ago. It's not that hard to believe.

edit, I read your statement wrong. Yes, people on /ic/ would probably not condone this but they acknowledge that people like this exist. In the autistic improvement threads there's always someone who says "have you considered some people only draw for fun and don't care to improve?" Of course, people that don't care to improve have no place on /ic/, but they never show up on there anyway so we don't care what they do.

I was also trying to be nice, if I didn't know she was suicidal and she posted on /ic/ or something I would probably have just have pointed her to the sticky

I fucking love it, honestly. A mystical shroom filled rainforest with a land octopus and Casca in modern day clothing are things that I'd kill to draw, first off. Second, it's pleasant to my eyes, but I'm a commoner of the arts, not someone who'd autistically perfects them.

If it pleases my eyes, it'll please at least 10 others.

Have you done more of these pattern drawings? Similar to the background of your OP pic.
I've been drawing as a sort of personal outlet for a few years now. Doing patterns and more abstract stuff - while still keeping a sort of composition in mind - seem to be having the most soothing (?) effect on me.

I don't see what's wing with it. I'm also a self judgemental artist. If you want specific criticism I can give that but I think it's pretty solid. Love all the small details
