okay, so recently i found out that this female friend i've had for a few years kinda wants to have sex with me

last time we hung out, nothing happened, when we were sitting next to each other a couple times we looked into each other's eyes for a few seconds but that was it

The next time you're alone together, look into her eyes and hold her gaze. Then, slowly incline your head towards hers - this is the universal "I'm about to try to kiss you" body language.

If she's into it, she will lean in for the kiss. If not, she'll move away. Then you can just say, "Sorry, did I misread you? I thought I felt something" or some other cheesy romcom line like that.

You can sit around debating if she likes you all you want - but you will never know until you actually go for it

If you've been friends for a while then the physical barrier should be broken down. Next time you're hanging out with her just tease her and find an excuse to touch her.

"Wow your hands look rough. Why do they have so many callouses? Let me take a look" then proceed to holding her hand and playing with it

just an example but you get the picture. Keep it light and show intent. Most importantly, don't bitch out.
