I used to feel like that as a guy, you just end up getting comfortable with it and dressing down feels worse.
I will say though that eyelashes and eyeliner are a huge game changer and make tons of girls so much hotter. Don't overdo it obviously, but for me and I'm sure most guys it is extremely attractive, not sure why it works but it does.
