What is it about going on holiday that lets you break your cycle? Make the same thing happen at your home. Make it really inconvenient to get back into the habit of masturbation. Move your computer away from the normal spot or whatnot. Delete or hide your folders of porn etc.

I was addicted to porn for a long time.
It stopped in January due to a combination of things: an extended forced break as OP mentioned, some of my own willpower and being fed up with it (this was like a six-year thing)but the two main ones were this

I know some people aren't keen on this, but the other was God. God's strength assisted me. Simple as that.

I'm afraid I don't have a lot of advice to offer other than, it can end, you can do it. It will take discipline.
Consider bringing it up with your girlfriend. If you are in love and value the relationship, it is something you can overcome together.
And if you stop for a while but slip up and get back on it again, don't throw the towel in and give up. Keep trying.

What I meant was that addiction affects everyone a little bit differently, and you can't just simplify it like, "if ya girlfriend was hot you could fuck her no worries :^)". Sure, but addiction when it comes to computer games or internet or porn never actually get solved by trying to stop the addiction directly. It remains pretty solidly unaffected by any psychotherapy attempts to fix it, and the likelihood is that the addiction is not a disease itself but a SYMPTOM of another, more core issue.

Now, in a world where we see some men getting to fuck hot bitches left and right, where other men are left blue balled for years or just fucking hamplanets who are physically disgusting, it makes sense that one would want to fap to hot chicks in porns all day long.

Well, the first step was to admit to myself that I needed help. Once I had done that I started praying for the strength to get off it.
