>Get a summer job that puts you into situations where you have to small-talk everyday. Preferably something where people are usually kind like a pet daycare, pet store or any kind of hobbyist instructor.
Forget about social retardation for a moment and just force yourself to realize that communication is merely transporting information to your peers. If you fuck up and stammer, just force yourself to finish the sentence and continue like nothing happened.
Remember that even if you do something socially retarded, no-one's going to be making that their life. They'll forget about it in an hour or so and continue with their own lives and their own thoughts. Maybe they'll even be thinking about all the embarrasing shit they did that you just didn't actually even care about.

Also, use facial expressions and your arms for communicating. Non-verbal communication is an important factor in creating trust. It makes you relatable and easy to read.
