This is actually a really good suggestion. Learning to cook will enable you to prepare healthier, tastier, cheaper and easier meals. You have to eat anyway, so why not learn how to do it properly?

The best way to teach yourself is to get a good cookbook that explains how the recipes work and why you do things a certain way, books like the Food Lab, Ruhlmans 20, Naked Chef etc. There are some good online resources out there but there is also a lot of crap. Avoid meme cooking shows, random youtube videos and generic recipe sites like food.com, a lot of the stuff on there is not good and more food porn than anything else.

Pretty much, yeah. Some of this stuff is perfectly workable solo--I'm a musician and most of the time I work on my own; maybe 10% of the time I spend on it is with a band. But the fact that I'm individualistic about it doesn't mean I can't use it to provide value to other people.

But yeah, people relate to you and admire you primarily on the basis of what you can do that interests them. You do the same thing; we all do.

As for improving social skills, the only thing you can do is practice. It is a skill after all and the only way to improve a skill is to try it, fail, improve etc.
It's intimidating at first but you'll realize it's not that scary

Get to enjoy cooking and shopping for food, that will be an invaluable for either seducing women or living on your own: win-win I should think.

Also, work on general social and conversation skills; there are some books and guides on the subject online. Not necessarily PUA shit, just for general life skills. You can throw in the seduction stuff later on once you actually know how to hold a conversation with another person.
