You take pills if you don't have your thyroid. It doesn't effect you majorly after you treat it.
If she diets and works out, she'll be thin. She might be snacking, or not working out enough, or eating the wrong food, or treating her thyroid bad.

Its not about eating little, its about eating the right things depending on her whole body state. The fact she walks all day is already a good start.

In a way make sure she'll never be like those "barbie girls" or supermodels in magazines, because her bone and muscle structure won't allow it, and it doesn't matter because many people consider that pretty (I myself am pretty attracted to wide body structure).

Hell, have you seen models from the 1920's? (I believe it wasn't exactly that time but it was in black and white photography). They weren't slim as a stick but that was considered the ideal female figure at the time.
