How do I tell my friend that I love her without ruining that special friendship we have. I would also like to add that her Ex is my bestfriend for. It's also a struggle to tell her that I love her knowing that I would be breaking the bro code.

honestly this
it's easy to fall "in love" with an attractibe female friend when you're lonely since it's easy to read friendly gestures as being woth romantic intent, and considering you're friends there's obviously some compatibility between the two of you
i can almost assure you she doesn't see it that way however, and i speak from experience. women ususally see dating and friendship as distinct things whereas men can see it as different levels of intimacy, though there are obviously exceptions
if you really do feel that you'd like to be with her, don't just go straight in and tell her how you feel. again, speaking from personal experience. it's overwhelming and you should honestly expect failure if you go about it like that. if you're intent, ask her (in person) if she'd like to go on a date. don't make a big deal out of it, recognise and respect that she might reject you, and do your best to move one if that is the case. don't be weird about it. rejection sucks but it sucks for her too to be pursued by a guy in whom she's been clear about not having interest
go for it if you really think it'd be good for you both, but don't expect anything to come of it

What's "special" about your friendship? How long have you known her? What do you typically do together?
