25y/o NEET here. Live at home (in the USA).
Need to do something with my life (and make money) but no idea where to start.
>no savings
>no skills
>useless degree
What do? I'm willing to learn, but I don't actually know what direction to take.
>inb4 kys
What useless degree?
>no skills
Bullshit, you got yourself a degree somehow
>useless degree
Unless it's in fine arts or something, it's all about how you sell it.

...it's in fine arts.
>>18570373
Never mind then, you're fucked.
>>18570379
Eh, my friends with similar degrees still manage to land jobs and support themselves. I just don't know where to look, or what sort of skills I should acquire. I don't know what I want to do with my life, and I don't really know what I enjoy anymore.
I'm 26, almost 27. Still live at home.
No job, no savings, no degree, no friends.
Parents let me live for free but they're old and might die in 10-15 years.
Just broke up with my girlfriend who was my only one.
Seeing everyone else be happy.
Feels like when I die and get to see my life flash in front of my eyes then there will be nothing of value except regret.
>>18570373
Ouch. Well, do you draw? Getting by as a standalone artist is not the easiest thing, but I know a few people that manage.
>>18570388
My point is, there is always someone else who is more fucked than you so be happy for what you got and do whatever your heart tell you.
>>18570392
I used to.
>>18570403
Then get back to it. If you have some experience there's something to work with. Just take my advice here and don't work without a contract. I've heard stories you wouldn't believe.
>>18570414
I don't think I'm very good at it. I'm leaning more towards trying to learn a marketable skill and getting a job.
>>18570428
You're thinking it backwards. You shouldn't think about stuff you can learn to get a job, because there's probably a lot of people that's really good at it and you'd be starting from square one.
Instead, I'd advise you to try to market something you like to do or that you're good at. When push comes to shove, there's not useless skills, there's people that don't know how to sell them.

if you are a man go into a labor intensive trade.
you can make tons of money doing manual labor and you can get fit doing it.
You know what I think is really admirable? An artist who also has a practical hardworking job. I can see lots of girls thinking the same thing.
>>18570547
I've always kind of wanted to do this. What sorts of jobs should I look into?
>>18570566
You could look into HVAC, forklift, electrician, heck you could even paint houses. If I were a man I would go into trades. Use the upper body strength your momma blessed ya with!
Try searching google for more ideas. put in "list of trades for men" or something like that.
>>18570547
That sounds like a really bad idea. I mean, it's good if you want to earn some money right now, but awful in the long run. Automation is going to render a lot of jobs useless in the near future; so the less creative your job is, the most likely it is that you're going to be replaced by a machine. If you're going to get into blue collar jobs, do yourself a favor and become a technician.
>>18570667
enough with the automation meme. If it happens it will happen in a few years at the soonest. OP can still gain some skills by going into a trade right now and benefit from making connections with other men who will help him get more jobs in the future.
Also do you really think that house painting and HVAC are jobs that can be automated in the near future? I don't because we dont have robots that can go to peoples houses and businesses to install things yet.
>>18570676
Probably not HVAC, but house painting doesn't seem like rocket science to me.
>>18570724
we dont have the technology for house painting robots yet so I think its still a good option for OP. HVAC is a lucrative career if you do it right too.

work at a grocery store they take everyone.
Don't feel bad, pic related started off as another random footsoldier in the French army. If he can make Emperor, any NEET can get a fucking life.
If I may ask, how do you think Alexander of Macedon was doing at your age? He didn't do work, either.
>>18571986
>how do you think Alexander of Macedon was doing at your age?
Being king and fighting sandniggers is kind of a full-time job desu.
>>18570373
An artist, eh?
Would you draw furry porn for cash? It can be quite lucrative.
>>18570547
not to be a downer but my 24 year old friend is a laborer and still lives with his mum hating his life
