I have about 40-50$ a week for groceries, what are some smart choices that aren't just unhealthy shit that would get me through the week? Meal ideas and basic things that I could make over and over.
Buy your fresh fruits and veges from a farmers market. Frozen veges are also a good alternative.

$40 is a lot unless you are feeding 5 people or some shit. I myself spend about $30 a month on groceries. If you can't do under $80 a month per person then you are fucked and should just stick to Mcdonalds.
>buy whatever vegetabels are cheap
>buy bulk rice and dried beans
>pork is often cheap (atleast where I live it is) as are ground chicken/turkey and offal meat (organs) are always good and cheap
>Look into learning to make bread. Its easier than you think
some meat, veggies and make yourself a wrap.
