Your nose is literally the same type of nose that millions of people have. It looks complete fine and normal.

If you have surgery, it could end up looking like Michael jacksons nose. You never know what you're gonna get.

You should consult a doctor as there may be underlying issues, such as deviated septum or sinus problems and the like, and maybe surgery could improve those, rather than just the cosmetic aspect. Check that out and then make your decision.

I don't know about a year recovery though - an Iranian lady friend I know had a nosejob done and she recovered in a few weeks, another friend had a deviated septum corrected and that healed pretty quick too, about a month or so.

I'm no doctor, so you shouldn't trust me on this without checking, but apparently if you "accidentally" break your nose you can ask the doctor to fix it the way you want it while he's at it.
