Stupid question but here it is.
I have an offer for a credit card that has 0%APR on balance transfers for one year. This is good for me because money is tight and im between jobs right now and have to pay tuition for school in two weeks - using my normal card will mean running a balance and being charged interest which i never done before and would rather not start.
My question: will i get charged a transfer fee by the credit card i am transferring OFF of? Or is this fee charged by the receiving credit card? Google is vague and says my credit card will charge a fee typically - but which one? How does this shit work? Does the card im moving a balance out of charge me or the one that is reveiving the balance? Do they both slam me on a fee?
My current card in question is a Chase Sappire Prefferred. The card i would be transferring to is some junk card through an auto insurance company my friend works for.
Thanks. I get its a simple question but im trying to out jew the credit jew for the next few months while i wait for my job to start.
Dave Ramsey the total money makeover. Its a book, less than $20. Read it and live it. Good luck!
