I only know one person here but want to make more friends because friend one has a very different timetable now. I'm hesitant to start conversations with strangers and don't even know how to start that conversation. What do?

As a college student with no friends let me try to help
Join clubs that have subjects you'd enjoy and talk to the people there.
Join sport teams, maybe volleyball if you want chill dudes and hot girls
