I've known this one girl for like 7 years now, and I've always thought she was cute. In highschool she always told me I wasnt her type so we just remained friends.

Right after we graduated we celebrated by going out for some food and a late night drive while just talking, and she was telling me the type of guys shes into, and she word for word described me pretty much, but I figured she meant someone else

A few years ago we had a bonfire and after I picked her up she kept going through my phone asking if I was single, was I seeing anyone, etc. I didn't get to make a move cause my buddy was 3rd wheeling it with us. I hadn't spoken to her since then

Then this morning she said she had the night off this Friday and asked if I wanted to go to a movie with her. Is she showing interest, or just being friendly??

Maybe this is a territory of women I'm unsure about like OP but girls, at least with each other, get really close and personal with questions and the like so I could see a girl behaving like this to a close friend regardless of gender.

I'd say look for a playful way of bringing it up without using the F word "Oh, you're so funny, I'm so glad to have you around, maybe I'll find a girl just like you who'll go on a date with me."
