i will add however that you should not force a change so extreme that you lose your intrinsic sense of self. its okay to feel the way you do about everything that happens, its how you react to things that define whether or not you are an asshole, but you don't need to go too far to compensate.

This happened to me a while back as well. I think they best thing you can do is be open about it with your friends. Ask them if youve done anything wrong recently and apologize/improve if you have. Emphasize how much you value their friendship.
