Hi /adv/
I really want to apply for college for September.
And I'm not talking like university level college, I'm talking like culinary school level college.
The course I'm interested in requires two grade 12 courses; but I got my GED in grade 11 so I don't have credits or anything I can carry over from high school.
But it's almost August and they're still taking applications for this course (nutrition). Which tells me it's probably not a very popular choice, and they may be desperate to fill seats.
Do you think I have a good chance at getting in? I'm really broke and I don't want to pay the 100$ application fee if I don't have a chance; but it's pretty obvious I'm somewhat articulate, so maybe they'll overlook it because I'm not a bumpkin?
Either way thanks!

I don't know much about it, but from what you're saying I'd suggest giving it a go! Chances sound good and I f they're looking to fill seats all the more reason to put some money aside to really do what you like. Only do it though if you think it's genuinely a career you'd be interested in - don't just do it because it's available

I imagine a state GED, regardless of when you got it, should cover all high school level entry requirements.
Especially if it's a for profit college. Though, you shouldn't go to a for profit college.
