Why do people always say that college is unnecessary? When I am looking for a good job, I almost always see a degree requirement (I would put this at about 95 percent of them).
For some theirs no point ergo the person who goes for 4 years and gets a degree in gender studies then whines about people being racist while they have to pay 20,000$ back I student loans while working at macdonalds etc. for others if you know what you want exactly id say go for it / atleast get a useful degree

a lot of those jobs will take someone with relevant experience or even just a willingness to learn in place of the degree.

Most of the job descriptions I see require a degree or "equivalent experience".

Most of what people say one way or the other is ideological. Fuck ideology as far as getting your own life together. Figure out what you want to accomplish in life, can it be your career or does it need to be supported by one. Pinpoint your career goals, have related backups, and then go get your qualifications. But definitely don't go to college unless it is specifically a barrier to your endgame.

This is circumstantial, in many areas a bachelors will be a solid requirement, but you could also be lucky and this could actually apply to you. Like I said it's good to start with your end goal in mind so you can learn from people who have gone through that path.
