Alright so I'm taking this cute girl out for drinks tonight at this nice tavern I found out about. Problem is, I've never taken a girl out for drinks, so I'm not sure how casually I should dress? I was planning on wearing Khakis, a tucked in grey polo shirt, black dress shoes, a black belt, a leather watch, and a navy blue cardigan (its supposed to be chilly tonight). Or should I go buy another shirt or something? The only other shirt I have is a white button up shirt, or a maroon button up shirt
Sounds good not sure about the cardigan though, do you have just a black jacket?

The only "Jacket" I really have is a navy blue rain coat like this. Although I could probably borrow a plain black jacket from a friend of mine

You as a boy need shower, shave, antideodorant, shoes, pants and some tshirt, everything clean preferable newly washed so it doesnt smell.
And pic related. Be alpha boy and everything else will solve itself. Dont forget to get condoms and show the lady you find her attractive via any compliment / asking for netflix and chill at the end of date.

Honestly dude what you described made me picture a 14 year old prep school student.

Girls aren't going to care too much about how you dress because the bar is set so low. Trying too hard may have the opposite effect of what you're going for, but truth is she probably won't care unless you show up dressed like a hipster douche with a little scarf and a fedora.
That said, the blue cardigan with the grey polo sounds a little off, and grey on khaki is inadvisable. Try the maroon shirt and post pics. It sounds like a better option.

Follow up: if the cardigan doesn't work with the maroon shirt then ditch it. Assuming you're not living in the underworld, a cardigan in the middle of July is unnecessary when you're going to be spending the night inside. It's also not what I would describe as a pussy magnet, though it can give a comfy fatherly vibe.

It should be ok, but for the future try to get
>a sporty button up with long sleeves, personal preference goes to linen but it's up to you
>a casual jacket, be it a blouson, a sports coat, whatever, so you can NOT go with a cardigan as a top layer. Its history is manly, but the visual effect stops at meh.
>check the colors. Do they suit you? also the shoes are a bit stark vs the rest of the outfit
