Does begging for you job back ever work?

Got fired from a job I loved after complaining I was disastisfied with my current role, and the lack of progression I've seen compared to other people

Now I've lost my job, and if I don't find something soon I will likely lose my home, my apartment, and I've already had to cancel what would have been my first ever holiday abroad in two weeks time

I sent emails and texts to my bosses apologiesing and begging for their sympathy

I was once told by the owner of the company that if I wanted to work for him, I'd always have a job for life

I've heard nothing back yet, and have receieved an offical letter of my termination, but no final pay slip as of yet

Is there any hope in asking for a job back, or have I just made a bigger fool of myself after being fired?
