What would you major in if you had the chance to go to university again?
Something artistic like music. I have enough practical experience in my field that I feel I would be fine. Don't know if I'll ever be able to go back to school though. Took a temporary, full time job to get some experience and now I might be getting promoted

What stops you from going back?

40 hours a week is a lot, I wake up early because of the commute, and I live in LA so it takes twice as long to get home. Then I get home, I go to the gym, and make food and I only have about 2-3 hours of personal time. That's Mon-Fri.
if i had the chance to go to university again i'd not go to university and learn a trade instead

Some pretty interesting choices here. Did you opt for more traditional majors like STEM/Business? Do you study these fields in your free time?
Definitely something in the sciences (geophysics or chemistry). Or economics.

Yeah I was majoring in Computer Informational Systems and doing a lot of techy jobs on the side. Computers are fun, the atmosphere is laid back, the job is usually ez and the pay is nice but it's kind of unfulfilling and monotonous

I'm going to pursue a degree in Computer Science for this reason. I'm working in IT after earning a BA and grabbing a few certs. The work place is so much more laid back than another industries, and people generally treat you better because it's a skill. It can be monotonous at times but it leaves you with enough energy to pursue your own interests and hobbies.
I want to double major in Horticulture or Biology, but I can't figure out where I could do this.
