>Got accepted to both NYU and Harvard for MBA
>Got GI Bill and some savings, + Yellow Ribbon because I am ex-military
>Parents have a house across the river in Jersey so I can pocket the BAH money from my GI Bill (Like, $3.5K if I sign a lease in NYC)
>Harvard MBA has more to it (? I think)
If you were me, what would you do? Its like choosing between pic related

I have no idea about MBA but Harvard sounds like the better choice. NYU afaik is only good if you do applied math, numerical analysis, machine learning (due to some big names there)

A Harvard MBA will always have more name recognition than Stern, which would be especially valuable if you go into business for yourself (e.g. selling yourself for any sort of consulting service). Otherwise whatever makes more sense for your financial situation.

I am trying to be a quant, for the sole purpose of running my own hedgefund sometime in the future. My mistake is I didnt apply to Wharton, that seems to be where all the hedgefund people go.

Isn't it math related? typically guys with physics or math degree from MIT and the likes would spend one two years making profit for rich people before getting a decent postdoc position.
Some guys in my class follow that route. Work is mostly about matrix optimization and stochastic model.
Are you going to apply the same position, but with a MBA?

The MBA is not my selling point, its the CFA and CAIA. An MBA with a concentration on Quantitative Analysis would be the icing on the cake.
Cherry on top would be the network. IDK who I would rather network with, NYU people or Harvard pedigree. (I am no patrician, after all)
