I am trying to understand what you mean about "male symptoms"

I am a behavior therapist for kids with autism and have worked with a variety of ages, sexes, and types of autism, and while there are more males, both boys and girls have similar groupings of symptoms. Of course there are different levels, types, clusters of symptoms, but gender means nothing. I've worked with aggressive autistic girls, nonverbal girls, pattern-thinking girls, aspergers syndrome girls with low emotional and physical responses and monotone voices, but much closer to typical than most.

When I was in college, they did say for a period within studying autism, doctors thought girls could not get autism, however this was debunked.

However, I have come across kids that were later misdiagnosed. Some having just speech delays, some having severe mental disorders that simply presented like autism when they were young, some were emotionally disturbed rather than autistic.

Have you ever wanted to try sorting it out with a doctor?

Not sure what you mean about 'male symptoms' but my sister is definitely autistic. She walks in circles and lays on the floor/ground in public when she is over stimulated, has no grasp on social cues, stims with her hands and body, and acts very very young for her age.

Teacher fag here, yes it's entirely possible. Is it as common in girls as it is in boys? No, but it's not like autism is attached to the Y chromosome or anything therefore it can certainly happen in girls.

There are some arguments that autism is "under represented/under diagnosed" in girls due to muh gender roles or some shit therefore there's probably more out there than we think but those girls will just never get diagnosed properly (if I can remember correctly from the how to teach retards even though you're not getting a retard education degree 101 class). I don't put much stock into that though, sounded like feminist propaganda to me.

I've been diagnosed since I was 6, I've been told I seem fairly normal yet have no friends and basically accepted that people are just going to call me weird if I do or say something they don't like.
