What can you do with a math degree?
I'm going to college soon and since the school I'm going to (pic related) is known for it's great engineering program, when I applied, I was only able to make it into my second choice, math.
I do like math, but literally every time I tell someone, they ask if I'm going to be a teacher. Like many on this website, I'm socially inept and hate people in general, so I really do not want to teach.
I would honestly prefer changing major to CS since I've found that more interesting, but I don't know if my class credits would all work towards that degree.
Is there any other viable job to go for as a math major or is transferring to CS the better option?

My favorite kind of thread!
Yes it is quite sad to do math in the school in your pic (also its CS and engineering program are perhaps ranked 101-150). But it's not hopeless.
From your description I would advise switching to CS, CS has main two aspects, one is basically a sub branch of math (discrete, combinatoric and perhaps category theory), other is code monkeyin I mean programming. Which is good for finding job.
Mathematics is a good life, but it requires certain qualities.
What are your class credits now? I would like to see them to comment on whether they are transferable to CS. Or just ask your school.

This is the best thing I could find detailing math degree requirements is this: http://registrar.vt.edu/content/dam/registrar_vt_edu/documents/Updates/cos/2019/cos_math_acm_19.pdf
And here's the similar thing for CS: https://www.cs.vt.edu/files/COE_cs_17.pdf
