is life just over once you have kids. will you never have new experiences or adventure again. i am a born adventurer but i like family. once you have kids do you just stop living as a person and become only a parent

>i am a born adventurer
So why not make new adventures with kids?

i have heard you can't do that. that life becomes mundane and domesticated with kids.

If you think life is "mundane" because of kids, you're insane.
It's literally like living with a tiny sociopath in your house. I mean, if you don't want kids, don't have them. But I can tell you its far from boring.

I guess you have to calm down your lifestyle to suit your kids to a degree, but it's not like you can't take them places and show them new experiences. I don't have kids, but I have looked after kids, and I know that even going to a place that you've been to before can be a whole new (positive) experience with a kid.

You know you don't have to believe everything you hear. Some of the best adventures and experiences in life can come from having kids. You can travel with them and guide them for life. It opens a bunch of doors too - coach a baseball team or restore a car with your son. Like most of life it's whatever you want to make it.

you're still a person, you're just a person who is a parent. you have adventures, but they are of a much different variety. depending on your definition of adventure (and your income) you can also still go on adventures by leaving your kids with a baby sitter / family.
i dont think its wrong. I loved that my parents would take us on family vacations, btu im surprised they waited so long to take a vacation thats just for the two of them.
i hate them for a LOT of reasons, mostly because they were abusive, but i dont blame any parent that just wants to get away for a week or two just for themselves.
why not?
