I think my problem with women comes from my mindset.

I still perceive sex as something to be conquered and obtained in exchange for something, when in truth it's something two people who like each other do to enjoy each other's bodies.

Would you say the second assessment is correct or am I wrong and sex is still something mostly obtained by the man in a kind of zero sum game where you woo the girl and she has sex with you in return?

many chaos will say the first thing is true, I and probably a lot of other people on /adv/ will tell you that the second part is true
so as you can see, both apply, depending on what you seek
I personally believe that good, fulfillig sex will only come from the second, but if you just want to get a quick fuck, the first works just as well
