How do I have fun in college without joining a fraternity?
I pledged a frat last semester but dropped because the hazing was too degrading and it amplified my anxiety because of the fear of not knowing who I could trust or what they were going to make me do.
That was my second semester of my first year.
My first year was depressing because I was shut in my dorm doing nothing but going to the gym, playing vidya, and going to class. I had looked through all the clubs my uni offers and none interest me. I didn't/don't have the confidence to meet new people which is why I wanted to join a fraternity. I wanted to be part of a social community but I found that even the members didn't all like each other and they didn't care about the "charity" they did.
How can I not be a total shut-in loser my sophomore year?

You've just got to jump for it man. Take a dive; try a new roommate or something. In class one day just talk to the person sitting next to you. Slowly open yourself up and then you'll start to get invited places and stuff. You've got to start somewhere

Look at your respective clubs that your college hosts. Join any of them that seems mildly interesting. Go to any event that your college is hosting. It's really the only way.
