I've had this feeling for a while where no matter what game I play I feel like I'm wasting my time on something unproductive and pointless, leading me to be more satisfied in finishing games than playing them.
I don't think it's because I'm 'getting old' but I'm only 20 so I'm not sure if this is just something you put up with as you come into the real world.
The confusing thing is that if for example I have a day at home to myself where I wouldn't be doing anything productive anyway I still feel like I'm wasting my time on video games.
I think it's something to do with not playing games with my friends anymore too.

I had this problem a while ago, too. I've started reading non-fiction books, just a bit a day. It helps make me feel like I'm doing something productive with my life instead of wasting it.

Funnily enough I've actually started reading again which feels productive but it doesn't entertain me for more than 30 minutes at a time unless I'm in bed at night etc
You could seize upon this feeling to push yourself towards self improvement like hitting the gym (where you can meet new friends), cleaning up your place, organizing your finances, etc.

schedule your video game times this is what helped me. It's really autistic to schedule leisure time but its the only way I can feel productive.
For example I study a subject im interested in for 1 hour and for the next hour I cook food and the next I play a game and the next I study again.
I use google calendars for this maybe try it.
