I'm a cashier (20/m) at a sporting goods store with another cashier (18/f) who I wanna ask out. I just wanna know how bad of an idea it is to do this?

Asking out co-workers is generally a bad idea. That isn't to say it couldn't be done but has some high risks. In a nut shell, the reason is because both of you are locked to your job. You both see each other every single day.

Your job locks you into shitty situations if stuff goes wrong. You'd be better off hooking up with girls elsewhere where you won't have to live with mistakes on a daily basis if you fuck up.

Sorry to hijack your thread OP but I'm kind of in the same boat, except I'm leaving in a few weeks for a new job. She has only been working at my work for a few months. Does asking " Hey you seem kind of cool and i'd like to get to know you better. How about lunch sometime" sound fine?
