Recently spilled water on my laptop's keyboard, now the T, Y, and O keys don't work at all. I'm currently using an On-Screen Keyboard. I'm like 90% sure those 3 keys short-circuited. What do 2 fix? pic related

>Buy a keyboard
>plug it in
>place it over bad keyboard
you can also tape it to the computer for stability

If you tape it then you will never be able to close the screen.
Instead see about gluing velcro onto the top of the laptops keyboard and the bottom of the usb keyboard. Then you can easily remove and secure the keyboard when you need it.
Have you tried bringing it to a PC repair place and asking them?

Viable option, although I'd prefer if I could fix this keyboard and continue using it.

Kek I'm just imagining try to close the laptop.

Nope, I recently opened my laptop and fixed the fan because my fucking CPU kept overheating. I want to at least try fixing it myself.

Take it apart and clean it jackass. Not exactly rocket science.

It may have been water but when it mixes with all the crud in the keys (dust, crumbs) it can create liquid grime that gets between the contacts or just interferes with the silicone mat. Or you can have someone "fix" it for you and they'll happily take all your money to clean it.

Way to specify jackass. Not exactly rocket science, is it?

if all else fails, your suggestion is my saving grace

It worked for me. Spilled a whole glass of water on my laptop all the keys were fucked.
