Is residential/commercial painting a good job for someone with autism?

Gets boring really fast but you don't have to work with other people usually.

Residential painting? I just get somewhere between daydreaming and Karate Kid mindfulness, and I enjoy it. I am not a professional, though. I've only painted a few times.

My stepdad was a union painter, Local 19, and he loved residential. He did entire walls with a brush because he loved residential so much, and liked the brushed look better.

Yes painting is very repetitive. Dunk Dunk the roller - roll roll it on the screen. Then onto the wall up down over a little up down Dunk Dunk repeat.

Why not retail

I work in shipping in receiving in retail.
>9 hour shifts
>one hour in between for lunch
>basically unpack like 100 boxes
>place security tags on shoes and shirts
>backstock items
>occasionally stock in front

I barely talk to anyone during work, only my breaks and lunch. Extremely repetitive work.
