UTIs from sex

I'm assuming you already spoke to a doctor about this. What did they say?

Getting UTIs constantly could be a symptom of something else. Either way, it isn't normal and you need to find a way to treat it.

As far as i know urinal tract infections are treatable and you should be able to identify what is causing them with a solid doctor.

Tried going to specialists yet? Changing docotr? Do you know what causes them? Because healthy girls dont get these under normal circumstances.

My ex was prone to getting them, but using baby wipes before sex and her peeing right after sex really helped a lot. And cranberry juice of course

Baby wipes is a good idea but I'm scared of it not being enough... I don't do cranberry juice because the sugar feeds the infection and its not ecoli.

This is by far the trickiest part of all this... Aside from waiting weeks to get an appointment...I've been to 13 doctors for this. Its getting hard to trust them because 1 doctor will contradict another, one will say I don't have an UTI or misdiagnose. Its also very difficult to find doctors who do more than just the standard dip test that is unreliable anyway. And the time it takes to get lab results, usually over a week, makes for more time for infections to get worse before they are finally treated, that is if the tests from labcorp(shitty american labs) don't come out "inconclusive" or basically no explanation. Maybe if I lived in a country with better health care this wouldn't be the case but unfortunately thats how it is living in burgerland.

Maybe I could improve this habit but I'm scared of it not being worth it if this isn't enough.

I'm going to inform my urologist if I miraculously get to see him within the next two weeks but thats usually not the case.

It would take forever to explain the past 2 years of history with multiple ER visits, urologists, gynecologists, etc that haven't truly helped me.

I'd rather never get a UTI again than have to deal with doctors who put me on hold or just rush me out the door without trying to figure out whats really wrong with me.

How much does your boyfriend know about the UTIs? You can ask him to shower before sex. You could even make showering together foreplay; you only need to wash his genital area, after all. In a pinch, you could use baby wipes. From my personal experience, baby wipes should suffice unless he just worked up a sweat or something like that.

Her peeing after sex/the baby wipes really reduced the UTI occurrences by a lot. I think they would still happen, but they became uncommon enough that she didn't have to chronically take antibiotics and only use them when she actually got a UTI.

As for cranberry juice, it's often recommended because it's highly acidic. You can either buy cranberry pills, or buy 100% juice without any added sugar, made from concentrate, or a juice fruit cocktail. Probably best off going to an organic market for that than Ralph's or something.

I try to share as much as possible with him. I'll talk to him about the showering. It might help to always do that and maybe both swish listerine in case we missed something... I just hope its enough because bacteria I feel like can be very tough to avoid completely. I am seriously terrified of it.

Tell your boyfriend about the UTIs and make sure he knows what a UTI is. Don't mention your own solution, maybe he'll propose his own solution. If he doesn't or you don't like it then go ahead with your own idea.
