Try and seek out an apprenticeship.

Imagine your life 10 years from now. What do you see? Married? family? Live in city, suburbs, country? Kids? House, apartment? Car? Broad type of job? Office, store, factory? White collar or blue? Work for others or yourself?

When you've got that picture vaguely clear (Note that I didn't get too specific about exactly what job, etc), work backwards.

To get there what would have to have happened? College, trade school, apprenticeship? Stay where you are or move to a different location? Make what sorts of connections?

Now organize that backwards journey in front to back order. What is the first thing you'd have to do?
