Since at least 30% of the threads here revolve around the use of Tinder, I have to ask: how does one get a date if he runs GNU/Linux on his dinosaur laptop and on the occasions that he has a phone hates it for being a tracking device?
Pic related I wouldn't wear on a date but I do like it.

either give up or give in.
if you want to use tinder, play by its rules. you can't stop it from tracking you. you can look around for some sort of emulator that will run it but they're difficult to use and kinda defeat the purpose of it.

Two options off the top of my head:
1) Get a date without the use of apps, like meeting people at some organized local event
2) Try other competitors (sort by # users or alexa rank to gauge popularity):

All the threads here are asking for advice because of epic relationship disasters, inhuman levels of autism, and life choices that make Greek tragedy look like a how-to manual for upright citizens.
Why exactly do you want to join that 30% again?
Hang out where the girls who use/appreciate gnu/linux are. Eg, get a job in the tech field, go to linux meetups, etc (and if you're of the common attitude that girls who are into that stuff are all crazy gross sluts, then lol)
