everything slowly changes the way your brain works. with porn its a matter of gratification. your brain doesn't seperate between what you see on a screen and what you actually experience. so to your brain, coupled with you jerking off, you are having sex with those women. so the more porn you watch the less thrilling sex becomes and thats why people who watch a lot of porn tend to get more extreme with their fetishes.

like with food, porn is fine, it is a vice, but we all have vices. its just a matter of not going overboard and scaling back when you hit your limit.

It's a matter of exposure. Porn is very visually stimulating, immediately accessible, and also provides a variety of women, situations, and kinks at your fingertips.

Real sex isn't as concentrated. You have one person, it's not the same sort of distilled stimulus. And if you're acclimated to the super-potent stuff, you're going to struggle with real sex.

In a way it's like the masturbation death-grip. Guys masturbate and slowly acclimate themselves to harder, rougher, faster stimulation, even unconsciously. You need more to get off and it keeps getting pushed rougher. Eventually you come to a point where regular sex isn't enough stimulation because it's too slow and/or soft. And suddenly you can't keep it up and can't orgasm.

Porn does that with your brain. Except instead of physical stimulation, it's mental stimulation. It also has the effect of slowly making you rely more on fetishes, and the constant presence of new women in short clips takes advantage of a biological hardwiring and makes it harder to get off to the same person in the same session.

However, it's not a permanent change, with either porn or masturbating. The cure for overuse is to reduce use. Quit cold-turkey for a while, or make a concrete effort to only masturbate gently or use slow, intimate, (and maybe even vanilla) porn. You can reset your systems and bring your brain and body back to being satisfied with actual sex.

idk I've been fapping for a long time and I feel like my fetishes have sort of peaked at a logical point where I know what I want but just can't actually find it.

In reality all I really want is porn that meets my own fantasies/fetishes perfectly. This is actually pretty rare, there's no perfect porn that hits all the marks.

In reality I get bored with a specific video more than I get bored with the action occurring in that video. I seek novelty in what I already like being presented with different actors than I seek novelty in new fetishes all together.

Real sex tends to be as frustrating as porn in that I never get *everything* I want at the same time. I get someone that is attractive but not amazing at sex, or someone amazing at sex but has an annoying personality outside of sex, or someone who is easy to get along with and good at sex but not the most attractive.

It's always a trade-off. Porn is the same way for me; it's never quite perfect, so in reality I'm constantly seeking perfection more than I am seeking out increasingly extreme or novel porn.
