I had to do it before and to be honest it was the best thing I did, if your case is anything like mine then your friend is depressed and always talks to you mainly only for issues, every time you see her here is a new problem. The girl who held me back had depression and always made suicidal jokes and always had a new problem in her life that she created and then blamed others for. I had to cut that shit out. As soon as I realized the problem and what was happening I got rid of her. She was my friend for basically my whole life but I was basically her slave in a way. It dragged me down and as soon as I cut her out i instantly became a better person not having to be around the negative energy.

No, explain to her that you need to do this for yourself since talking to her makes you depressed for the reason you've specified. If she likes, she can try with you, but again - you have to decide if you wanna be in a relationship with someone that's not interested in you. This isn't to be taken lightly - make sure you take care of yourself first.
