Today I was at work (intern at software company) alone (my boss and coworkers are on a trip, it's a small company) and the reception girl who also doubles as in-building delivery girl (our building has multiple companies) came with a package for a guy who is lodged at our company's office but has his own company (he just works in the same office and shares the rent). So, she also came by yesterday and took the package back since this guy wasn't at work.
Today though, she dropped the package on his desk (a letter and a sealed box) and gave me a delivery ledger to sign in his stead. I don't know what fucking brainfart I had but I signed it - only to realize a few minutes later WTF I just did.
Now I'm back home, the company is locked down at nights (lately I've been the one to unlock it) but I'm afraid the package might disappear from his desk (where it was left, but not immediately visible from anywhere but his workplace) and I might just get my ass fucked hard because of this stupid mistake.
What should I do? How could I act in case something happened to the package? Or in case this guy comes back and is pissed at me?
signing for packages for people you work with is a very commonplace practice. don't freak out about it.
