A random person on Facebook was messing with me, and said they lynched a person. I figured it was a threat, and asked "You gonna lynch me?" where they replied "I'm coming for that ass, dog"
Is this uttering a threat, and can I get police involved? I feel like it is, but someone told me since they didn't specifically say it, and I kind of got it out of them, that it isn't

Still no case. For a threat to be credible it has to be believable to the actual person, probable, and has to make the person legitimately fear for their life.
