Me: What's your favorite David Howie song?

Her:Oh, that's hard. Queen Bitch, Life on Mars, it depends on the day. Right now I'm really digging Blackstar.

Me:Nice. Blackstar was my first. I started listening to him after he died. =/

Her:Really? Oh my gosh there's so much good stuff to discover! Like several decades' worth.

Me:Lol I know it. Don't worry though. I have listened to starman. Pretty damn beautiful song.

Her:It is a beautiful song. His songs have such unusual chord progressions, I love it.
What other music are you listening to these days?

Me:That's why I love it too. He's been so unique through all his career.
I've been listening to the mars Volta. Progressive rock band.
Other than David. What about you?

Her:I haven't listened to them much, but I like what I've heard. I'm really into this Australian band called Hiatus Kaiyote. and the latest A Tribe Called Quest album.

Me:Ill give those a listen when I get home. Tonight was crazy busy at work. How is being a librarian?

Me:I listened to haitus kaiyote. I like it. Only heard rap from eminem and I like the old school vibes from them.

Her:Oh yeah, my favorite thing to do at Rasputin's is look through the discount record session...sometimes for music and sometimes for awesomely bad album covers.

Usually, I just try to find the right moment and just be like "Haha, yeah, that [= whatever she just said] is awesome. Wanna grab a beer?" so there's not as much wiggle room.
